Children's Teeth - How Being Educated About Your Child's Teeth Can Save You Thousands of Dollars 1

As a dentist and mother of two little boys, I'm constantly being attacked by my parents' questions about their teeth. It looks like there is a lack of edited information about the subject. I've seen a lot of information about code care, rashes, and behavioral techniques for parents and caregivers, but I haven't seen a comprehensive guide to child development and care. And unfortunately, your child's teeth are a big part of childhood and can have a huge impact on adult life. Incorrect information and lack of knowledge can cause frustrating experiences at these critical times. When a dentist proposes a specific treatment or diagnosis, it may seem that the parents do not know what to do. Parents can also become confused or feel anxious about curious dental questions that are likely to occur constantly during the child's growth.

Infants begin the process of growing teeth around 3-4 months until the first tooth appears around 6-7 months. This long and sometimes turbulent process will lay the foundation for years to come. Did you know that your baby is not born with bacteria that cause tooth decay? Did you know that when we kiss and couch near the baby's mouth, we introduce them into cavities that are exposed to caries that cause tooth decay? By minimizing these loose but wonderful kisses, you may be able to delay your child's decay longer.

Have you ever heard of the popular myth that "baby's teeth are not important, they are likely to fall out?" This too common belief that teeth are not noticeable is a major cause of many preventable dental problems with today's children's teeth. Deciduous teeth are very important for the position of permanent teeth and can play a major role in the appearance of the future child's face. They may decide whether a child needs braces or headgear. Early orthodontic planning and treatment can save parents thousands of dollars.

And for parents who can't afford an orthosis, early tooth assessment can create a cheaper solution just by using alternative treatments during the baby's dental year. This early intervention can prevent the child from being embarrassed as a smile or wearing braces as an adult. So how fast should you put your child's teeth in the brace? Now, there are many factors to consider, all of which depend on your child's dental condition. Years of research have shown that conservative orthodontics is much more difficult when a child reaches puberty. Therefore, evaluating and starting a simple orthodontic treatment as early as 7 years old is often useful to avoid a wider range of orthodontics later.
