The Ugly Truth About Your Ego and Your Road to Success

The size of your ego determines whether you are ready to find success in your life. I think this is funny and I know what you are thinking, but just listen. And that is probably not what you expect to read.

People with big egos don't like to make mistakes because they look bad. And people may make judgments or laugh at them, and this will hurt their ego and obviously they look bad. If you have a big ego, your odds of finding success are not so good ... unless you know how to tone it a little.

And this is why ...

When you are on the path to success, you will make mistakes and many of them. You sometimes look like a fool, and yes, people talk behind you! This will certainly affect you if you have a big ego. And if you are like me, it may take some time to change.

I once had a big ego! I didn't like to make mistakes. In fact, I do everything to try to hide my mistakes. But this only makes the situation worse. Because when people know what I really did, I sometimes look like a bigger fool ...

I was wondering why people found success in life, but I couldn't. And one of the big factors I discovered is the size of the ego. The story I'm trying to tell you is not finding success in my life, but when I'm "looking for" success. I wanted to find a way to find success at that time, because my life got better!

I am a freshman at university and remember when I worked at the construction site before class and on weekends. I was a worker who did these strange jobs and helped the “experts” to do the job. On this particular day, I was carrying cement to people working on the sidewalk. When that day was almost over, I happened to step into the cement that everyone had finished. However, I don't want to be like a “stupid worker who knows nothing”, so instead of telling them, I tried to fix it myself. [Persons involved in the construction can be involved ...] I never finished cement before, so I didn't really know what to do ... So I covered it I did my best to try.

That wasn't a good idea! When the foreman came to see the work, he noticed a very bad looking part of the sidewalk and started yelling at the man. Obviously they don't know what he is talking about and everything fell into hell! That's when I had to confess. And you guessed it: I no longer work with the crew. They hated me for good reason and Foreman couldn't believe I would work on other projects.

If I accepted the fact that I made a mistake and told someone from the beginning, I could have avoided the confusion completely. Yes, I still look like a “idiot” but probably learned something. Some people have taught us how to properly finish cement because it is only a fraction of cement, and others may have gained respect by acknowledging mistakes. I will never know. But what I know is better than using these as a "don't do" example for all other people who are fired and work them for me That means ...

By tuning the ego, you can make mistakes and learn from it. This is the road. And you are much better than those who don't want to make mistakes, do bad things, and don't want to learn from it. But if you can't relieve your ego, you are on a very long journey to find success in your life!
