Teaching English in Mexico: How About the Northern States? Part 1 1

There are many jobs in the northern part of Mexico. Close to the US border, it is attractive for some English teachers. The intense summer heat keeps others away. As some locals say, this area gives you some choice and tolerance regarding where you want to “shake and bake”. In another article I will make some suggestions for hotels and eateries in these areas. Let's get started:

Uninino has one job available to enthusiastic primary school teachers. We are located in Agua Prieta in Sonora, Mexico, across the border from Douglas, Arizona. The population of the city is 100,000. Many people misunderstand that Agua Prieta is a border town, so you can't get a Mexican experience. Not true. Agupurieta is a Mexican town. There is no McDonald's. New teachers must arrive at Agripeta by the end of August. Payment is 500 USD. The residence is provided in a shared apartment with two other foreign teachers. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Christmas has a two-week holiday and an Easter holiday alongside Mexican holidays. These are charged. The requirements are at least one year experienced in foreign environment education, TESOL certificate, university degree in all disciplines, enthusiasm about children, a lot of patience, willing to make a one year commitment at age 25 and over It is that.

This is a private language school in a medium-sized city on the northwest coast of Mexico. The school was established 12 years ago due to the great demand for English lessons. The school offers English courses from 7am to 8pm. There are currently 640 students, teaching young adults, adults and children. Every year we contact two teachers from the United States. Foreign teachers only teach adult students. The class has an ideal number of students. For language classes, there are 5-12 students per class. Each teacher has his own class and is responsible for planning lessons. In the week before classes begin, a mandatory free weekly training course for teachers is offered. The school offers accommodation and teachers are entitled to 3 hours of free Spanish lessons per week.

Qualification includes people with enthusiasm for education. The position requires spoken and written language skills, patience to explain grammar, and the ability to work well in hot weather [the classroom has air conditioning]. They prefer people with educational experience. Arrangement: 30 hours per week. Free instruction 3 hours a week in Spanish. Two positions are available. How to apply: Send a CV or e-mail with a resume, a cover letter explaining your qualifications and interests, and a job reference. The application deadline for each grade is usually May. The school pays the accommodation fee.
