Tell Me About Your Week 1

Of course, you can discuss the highest and lowest points of the week-what you have accomplished, missed, and forgotten. But I honestly say I started thinking about this article on Sunday and I know I won't publish it until mid-week. So why think of an article on Thursday Sunday?

Let's talk about my week.

On Friday, I realized that other social media posts started with “Fri-YAY!”. I signed off part of the email with TGIF, but it was known to celebrate Thursday through Friday. Why is the question and why do I celebrate the weekend? I love my job, love clients, love life.

My son, famous for his random questions, asked if the first day of the week was Sunday Monday. Think a bit about this. Finally share my thoughts. I have a very clear weekly plan so his questions made me think about my week. Sunday or Monday?

The weekly plan is as follows:

I plan a full technical day once a week, most of which is on Saturday.

Monday-delegation date. I read all emails and send new items that need to be delegated or need more information. I admit I will start this many times on Sunday, but I will not send emails until Monday morning considering the time of other family members [delivery delay!] If a meeting is scheduled , Touch the base to see the meeting time and make a call.

Call Tuesday-Day 1. Usually, all day calls are made all day. I don't even try to complete the document. I keep the calendar open and add tasks and follow-ups at the end of each call, which is closer to paperwork.

Wednesday-Focus day. They rarely schedule calls and are known to turn off calls. This is when undertaking large tasks that require detail and focus. By this time, I can get the information from the delegation email on Monday and start the work I have to do.

Thursday-call day # 2. Again, usually a continuous scheduled call.

Friday! [I had to do it]-Friday follow-up is what I call it. What am i missing? What clients need follow-up emails, prospects, and unpaid accounts? Are there any unprocessed Monday delegation emails? Tasks that are not taken care of during the week will be posted on the Friday plate.

Saturday-a day without technology [except my kindle, you can't take my kindle away!]

Sunday-Oh, Sunday. That is my secret [of course not so secret]. I will review the plan for the week and plan and prepare for client calls. Clean up your inbox and schedule a week-long task. It's probably my favorite work day of the week. I write emails, but delay delivery so as not to disturb other people.

So back to my question in the first half of the article, does your week start on Sunday or Monday? My vote is still Monday, but the working hours on Sunday are like a little dul that I chose so that nobody could see it.

What about your week? Are the call date and focus date set? Do you someday allow yourself the freedom of technology to charge yourself? Please share with us!
